Champignon
Champignon — flowing calligraphy and decorative swash letters.
About this font
Champignon is a calligraphic typeface by Claude Pelletier, also known as ClaudeP and Diogene. Contrasting strokes, flowing connections and expressive flourishes suit invitations, greeting cards, names and short headings in Latin characters.
The package includes two original variants, version 1.000. Champignon Regular has a weight of 500 and includes Latin characters with diacritics, numbers and punctuation. Its salt and ss01–ss03 OpenType features provide stylistic alternatives in applications that support them. Champignon Alt Swash has a weight of 400 and a limited set of 75 encoded characters for individual decorative accents. It complements the main font rather than replacing it throughout a text.
The unchanged originals are available as OTF for Champignon and TTF for Alt Swash, alongside full WOFF2 files for both variants. Neither includes Cyrillic or a variable version. Use a generous text size and leave room around the lettering to keep the fine strokes and flourishes clear.
The font is distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits personal and commercial use subject to its terms. The author’s license is included in the archive.
